Mark Bernstein is the partner-in-charge of Katz, Sapper & Miller’s New York office and a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Services Group. He has been with the firm since 1986 and quickly earned a strong reputation for his expertise in the real estate industry. Mark provides innovative strategies for some of the most respected and successful real estate owners in the country.
As the firm’s partner-in-charge of KSM Charitable Foundation Services, Mark has extensive knowledge of tax law and other regulations governing private foundations and provides consultation on their grant management process.
Mark is also the partner-in-charge of the firm’s aviation practice where he provides tax, accounting and FAA expertise to aircraft owners and operators.
EDUCATION
Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Indiana University.
ASSOCIATIONS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, and the Real Estate Board of New York. In 2003, Mark had the honor of being selected by the Indianapolis Business Journal for inclusion in its “Forty Under 40” special report. Mark is a past president of the board of directors of Congregation Beth El-Zedeck, a member of the audit committee for the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, and a professional advisory committee member of the Children's Support Foundation of New York.
