Professional Experience:
Jackie began her career immediately after high school in 1983 with a CPA firm located in the Florida Panhandle. She started as a receptionist before being promoted to office manager, then to tax preparer and staff accountant. In 1987, she relocated with her husband, Scott, to Pasco County, where she continued to work in public accounting for several years while completing college. Jackie passed the CPA Exam in May 1991. In 1993, Jackie formed her own public accounting firm in Spring Hill.
A problem solver by nature, she has always enjoyed the challenge of the “ever-changing” tax code and interaction with clients. Working with clients in various industries, from farmers and construction workers to musicians and nonprofit organizations, has given her a broad base of experience to better serve her clients and assist them in pursuing their business and financial goals. She is the co-host of “Beyond the Money Radio.” Jackie is also a registered representative with Retirement Wealth Advisors (RWA), which allows her to offer securities and other investments to her clients.
Rewarding Experiences:
Referrals from clients have been the greatest compliments. It is very rewarding knowing that her clients appreciate her work enough to tell their family and friends how she can help them. Jackie enjoys learning new ideas and techniques that can help enhance a client’s net worth. Being a Certified Financial Planner™ professional enables her to offer comprehensive planning techniques. In 2013, Jackie received the Hernando County Business and Professional Women’s “Woman of the Year” award and was honored to be a finalist in the Hernando County Hero’s Gala, sponsored by Habitat for Humanity.
Personal Background:
A Florida native, she was born and raised in the small town of DeFuniak Springs. Jackie graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1989. She married her high school sweetheart, Scott. They have two children, Jacob and Brooke.
