Bill joined Maloney + Novotny LLC in 1977. In his 35 plus years with the firm, Bill has advised healthcare clients about all aspects of the challenges facing this industry. He works with a variety of long-term care facilities, such as retirement communities, Continuing Care Retirement Centers (CCRC), assisted living facilities, ambulatory care facilities, dialysis centers and home health agencies. Bill’s approach to healthcare is full service – from start-up consulting and financial report design to cost containment programs and strategic planning, he works closely with clients to find new ways to maximize service and minimize costs.
Bill frequently consults with clients about how to comply with the Medicare and Medicaid rules as well as identifying strategies to maximize reimbursements. He also initiates negotiations with auditors concerning favorable interim and final settlements. From certificate of need applications and rate setting to reimbursement appeals and cost containment studies, Bill becomes an active member of the management team.
Bill also has wide-ranging accounting, tax and consulting experience with other industries such as manufacturing, real estate, and wholesalers.
Bill earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Kent State University in 1976.
Bill has served as treasurer and board member of several not-for-profit agencies for the past 20 years. He is also an active member of the Ohio Health Care Association, the Association of Ohio Philanthropic Homes for the Aging, Ohio Council for Home Care and the Ohio Academy of Nursing Homes. Bill is currently the Treasurer of Board of Beacon Health in Lake County.
