As the pioneer of Nathan Accounting Group, Alan J. Nathan had a creative vision to assemble all the financial business solutions for business clients.  Today, his company offers comprehensive tax, accounting, consulting, bookkeeping, social media marketing and merchant services for small and mid-market clients.

Prior to founding Nathan Accounting Group in 1998, he previously had his public accounting experience, focused on tax and consulting services, with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Bobrow & Company PC. These early roots for Mr. Nathan established his thirst to guide businesses (large and small) to hit their business goals and achieve financial freedom.

Mr. Nathan is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Board of Accounting and has held numerous committee positions.  He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Previously, Mr. Nathan served in the non-profit sector on the Boards of the Jewish Federation of Hartford and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a faithful alumni and Huskies supporter.

During Mr. Nathan’s “down time”, he is a proud supporter of many non-profit causes: Gifts of Love, Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society, and The CureChief Foundation, to name a few. He is an avid health enthusiast focused largely on competitive tennis, golf and running.

He makes his home in Simsbury with his wife, Merri and their furry friend Pearl, an awesome rescue.
